Republic Engineering Corporation

This starship manufacturer was founded in the early years of the New Republic to produce specialty vessels for the New Republic, which had allocated most of the galaxy's existing warships to individual planets, and was backed by several prominent Republic corporations. Their first design was the Shieldship, used successfully by Lando Calrissina at Nkllon. Following the defeat of grand Admiral Thrawn, Republic Engineering has been concentrating on new and useful technologies for starfighters and airspeeders. They were also responsible for the design and manufacture of the "new class" starships used by the New Republic, including the Sacheen-class escort and the Agave-class picket ship.
