The Transporter was originally designed to compete with an replace the KDY Star Galleon, but due to political reasons it never achieved this goal. It has, however, found work as a heavy cargo carrier. The standard SFS 418 series armament of twenty laser batteries and a squadron of TIEs provide the Transporter's cover during its operations.
