A major manufacturer of droids, heavy weapons, and starships, Arakyd made a name for themselves during the New Order by securing several high-profile deals with the Empire. The Viper Probe Droid was one of their greatest achievements, as it marked one of the most successful attempts to use artificial intelligence in a military application. After the Battle of Endor, Arakyd continued to remain loyal to the Imperial remnants, and produced the XR-85 Tank Droid for use when the Empire battled the New Republic for control of Coruscant.
Proficient in the creations of quality sensor and communications systems, Arakyd hopes its success can spill over into the area of starfighter design, as they have developed a prototype Helix Starfighter.
