The Barloz-class shares its design elements with most CEC freighters (such as the YT series), but features several characteristics not usually found on ships from this company (at least not ships the size). It has a triangular instead of saucer-shaped hull, but retains circular docking rings and a cylindrical command pod (which is centrally located instead of attached to the starboard side). This Corellian Engineering Corporation freighter measured 41 meters in length, and could transport up to 120 metric tons of cargo. The Barloz was one of the most popular freighters of the Old Republic, until CEC introduced the YT-series and ushered in the modern era of freigher design. It was manned by a crew of two, with one gunner and up to four passengers. It was armed with single forward-firing laser cannon.
