The TIE Courier is little more than a TIE/sh outfitted with extra security for carrying more important cargo, and for intelligence missions and covert operations. Basically, it is a TIE/sh that has had the hyperdrive of the Bomber Advanced added to it, along with the landing skids and repulsorlift of the TIE Commando . The required protection reduces the passenger capacity to only a single person with some cargo. The special cargo is usually implanted with a self-destruct device to prevent theft.
